A 40.0 kg wagon is towed up a hill inclined at 19.7? With respect to the horizontal. The tow rope is parallel to the incline and has a tension of 140 N. Assume that the wagon starts from rest at the bottom of the hill, and neglect friction. How fast is the wagon going after moving 81 m up the hill?

1. You need to get the net force on the wagon.

Find the component of the weight of the wagon parallel to the hill's inclination.

Then, Fnet = Tension - Component of weight.

2. Using F = ma, find the acceleration of the wagon.

3. Use v^2 = u^2 +2as to get the final velocity v of the wagon.
u is equal to 0 since the wagon starts from rest,
a is from 2
s is given.

Can you post your answer? :)
