I had a medical abortion where I took the 1st pill in office on Spet. 1st.. I inserted the 1st dose of misotropol the next day.. It was successful and did well. I started birth control (Loestrin) 4 days after the 1st misotropol. I was told that I should start my period when I start the "brown" pills.. However, I have taken the 2nd "brown" pill and have not started. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I did have intercourse 2 1/2 weeks after the abortion but had been on birth control for 2 weeks at that time. Could this be due to the medical abortion? Shouldn't the birth control have gotten me back on track? When should I expect a regular cycle? Help!

Uu, I think you should have waited more then 2.5 weeks after the medical abortion to have intercourse; your hormones are all out of wack after a medical abortion, put the birth control pills on top of that and that is a hormone cocktail on the negative side.

I think you should go back to your doctor who prescribed all of this, tell him what you have told here and get back on track. No the birth control pill should not have put you back on track because everything else, the abortion, the sex has thrown it off track.

You will have to be patient, take on day at a time, or I should say one week at a time, abstain from your pleasurable interludes by your own choice if yhou want to think clearly again about your cycle. Talk to your doctor please.
