I think I saw your original posting the other day. I did some research but based on the model # I couldn't figure out who the manufacturer is. Can you supply that please? If you can find the name of the manufacturer, do an internet search on that name. Their home website should be able to turn up an instruction manual for you.

Well, pung, without the name of the manufacturer, it will be hard going trying to find someone out there who has your exact model number and knows who makes it. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. Good luck!

I have same unit, no web site only phone 1-800-387-8520. But to reset, need to turn on inside unit, without batteries, get flashing IO. Then put batteries in outside unit with switch in normal, then swtich to set id. Inside unit should show an id in wind direction pane and stop flashing IO. Push set on back of inside unit. Then switch outside back to normal. The put batteries back into inside unit. Remember to start with no batteries in either unit. Hope this helps as I finally found my manual as I had same problem

Out of curiosity, where did you purchase the unit?

I got mine in Radio Shack in Jackson Mississippi in late 2005.
Thank to all for all the help.

If they still sell that model at the store...

1. Can you request a copy from another box in the store?

2. Perhaps the manager would have contact information for the vendor. If you call the vendor perhaps they may have something to send you.

Just a couple of ideas.

Hey all, first time using and answering in this forum so bear with me.
Found a reply elsewhere to the right site but was the wrong model.
So here you are: Thermor (http://www.thermor-ins.com) Click on English, Weather, Weather Home Station and then Model BW966 is the CE1177 model PDF.
Page 9 is for first time start up and page 10 is for when you just want to replace the batteries in the transmitter. I.E. dashes for outside readings,
I followed the steps starting on page 10, (it will take you through steps 5 - 11 in Start Up) got the flashing IO then the ID #, pressed set, went outside and reset the switch to Normal and I was back in business.
Or you can write to the company that made it;
Thermor Ltd
395 Cochrane Drive
Markham, ON L3R 9R5

Oh yeah, I got mine at a VA Hospital Gift Shop in Dallas.

I have the manual, I'll scan it and shoot a copy to anyone who needs it, I could also use some help in installing this thing. Where did you guys install the transmitter, inside?
Outside?
Thanks

This isn't true... The model #1's manual isn't correct. They have sent a free manual to all new buyers so they can replace the old onces. DON'T USE THE OLD ONE IT'LL MESS YOUR DEVICE UP In the future. My friend has bought 3 model #1's and has ruined them all. I will scan my Model #1 Manual version 2 once I get home from work.
