In the state of Oklahoma, if both legal parents loose custody and parental rights of a child (father residing in NY, mother residing in Oklahoma- mother was abusive to children, children went into OK state custody, father unable to relocate children to NY state). Oklahoma recently also took all parental rights away from the father, and the mother has not had custody of the children in almost a year. Who pays child support, if neither parent now has legal custody or parental rights?

Most likely no one.

Mostlt it depends on how the whole situation went down. In some cases the parents are still reponsibe for paying child support until an adoption has taken place. Many states are trying to recoup funds that in the past have gone unpaid.

Are they asking for chid support at this time?
