Phil:

Yes, the ITIN is still valid. I assume your husband wants to file jointly with you again, which is perfecly legitimate.

Hi Philomel2007,

When you're husband applied for your ITIN you were in Philippines?
What documents he attached to W-7 for your ITIN?
My wife and kids is also in the Philippines and I want to apply them ITINs so I can claim them as my dependents.

Thanks

The BEST document to attach is a notarized photocopy of their passports.

If those documents are not available, download the W-7 with instructions from Internal Revenue Service (http://www.irs.gov). The instructions tells you which documents will be accepted with the W-7.
