I started dating a guy one year ago this month. We hit it off, we enjoyed each others company so much, and after a month of dating we decided to be a little more serious. He called me and texted me like crazy and always wanted to be with me. Then in January out of the blue his ex girlfriend contacted me to let me know they were talking. He apologized but he still didn't want to let me go. After a week or so I called it quits. Two months later he texted wanted to see me and talk. This has been going on ever since he texts every so often and sometimes but not all the time I see him. His girlfriend is his first serious relationship. His girlfriend and I are complete opposites in everyway. His friends say he is miserable with her and she does not treat him with kindness. I have told him to move on and not to call me but he always texts me within a month or so. What do you think is going on in his head this is now a year. I have been enjoying my life hanging out with my friends and I never bother him. I never text him first. Its always him. What is he really wanting from me?

He wants attention, for whatever reason, or just some relief. He keeps calling/texting because you allow it and never tell him NO.

When you do, he will leave you alone. You have the power to stop this crap, if you let go of your own curiosity, or false hope.
