Me and my husband want to change our 3 yr old kid's last name just because we both don't like it.We just want to make the current Middle name (My husband's name) as last name. We don't have anyone to object this. So what is the procedure to do this and how can we do it? Please Help us.

Is this child a step child of your husband? If so, you need to get the bio father's consent and then go to court and have a judge sign an order of adoption for your husband to be the father of the child.

You just can't change the child's last name legally otherwise and it would not be to your husband's middle name either but to his last name when he adopts your son.

Hi,
The child is not adopted... it is our own Child. And I am talking about child's current Middle name (which is my husband's first name)
We want to make my husband's (child's own father) first name as child's last name.
It is just we don't like the current last name of child which is my husband's native place name.
I hope I am clear now.

Gotcha now. You need to still appear before a judge to change his last name. Paperwork easy to fill out with an attorney's help and a quick hearing before a judge to legally change the last name.
