Help, someone. Yesterday turned the heat on and no heat. The diagnostic code says "pressure switch stuck on closed". So, I googled and did as instructed: removed the short "rubber hose" and blew lightly through it and reconnected and then the furnace actually worked. I didn't even really blow very hard since I don't like messing with such things and didn't want to blow myself up or something.
Anyway, now not working and so I got braver. Disconnected that entire rubber hose from the metal nipple where it connects to the furnace blower thing,(has a fan so assume I correctly identified that part), and the pressure switch.
I actually put a wire through the hose, the metal nipple that I think belongs to the furnace blower, and the plastic nipple of the pressure switch and still get the same diagnostic code and nothing happens(no fan, no nothing goes on). So, is it a fan problem or a pressure switch problem?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks,
Ceci
