How do you remove norton internet security 2005. It wasn't put on my computer when it was set up for me. I have gone to add-remove program doesn't show anything. I have tried the norton removal tool, nothing. I'm using the AOL security in which as been running fine. All of a sudden norton pops on and Aol security tells me I have a conflict. I need help with this. Just a thought, what would happen after 90 days which I don't have a clue on what this date is but, would it delete itself? Thanks for your help.

After the trial 90 days Norton does not uninstall itself, it just bombards you with notices, telling you to purchase the full thing. If Norton Removal tool isn't working, then you may have to manually delete files. Please be aware that deleting the files may still leave residual registry keys which may conflict with newer versions of Norton Internet Security.
To manually remove, start-up the computer in safe mode (hold F8 at BOIS and selecting Safe Mode from menu) then login as administrator. Go to My Computer -> C or what you have named your hard disk -> Program files -> then look for Symantec or Norton (as I cannot remember what the folder is called) when you have found that folder that contains Norton Internet Security, delete it. Norton shall no longer pester you :)
