Well, it all depends on who you were. If you were a Jew, your experience was totally different than if you were a Nazi storm trooper.
Do you have a person type in mind?

Mostly your answer is going to depend on who you ask. A reguler citizen found a time of great prosperity until the war machine got rolling. A soldier would give a different answer then a person who is jewish.
It wasn't all fire and bromstone until close to the end of the war.

WG could recommend some good reading on the subject. There are many books on it including but not limited to Schindler's list. Diary of Anne Frank etc.

Yeah, WG was thinking the same thing, about which books to read, but if the assignment is due tomorrow... (and how long have we known about the assignment?)
sambazza, do you have to write a paper or give a speech or write just a paragraph?

There wasn't one experience. Truckloads of books have been written about the WW2 experience depending on the point of view.
Hitler's dogs had wonderful time during WW2.

Can you choose to write it from the Jews' point of view?

Once is about a Polish boy named Felix who lived in an orphanage. That is only one experience.
Write about this experience -- Many women had to leave their homes and children during the day and go to work in factories that made bullets and guns for the war. Their husbands couldn't work in factories any more because they were soldiers away in the war.

We have only just started to read the book and we are up to the bit where felix has just escaped the orphanage so I don't know much about the book
