I've had my period for 2 1/2 weeks now and I want to know what is causing this without insurance I can't go see a doctor... My relationship with my husband is failing because we haven't seen each other for 2 months and now that I get to see him and leaving in a week its hard for both of us... I am very stressed with moving and being far away from your loved one I'm not taking any birth control methods and stopped drinking and smoking I'm on a very good diet and I just want this to go away... PLEASE HELP !

Are there any free, or inexpensive clinics in your area? I understand how hard it is to make yourself go to the doctor when you don't have insurance, but it's not normal to have your period so long, and you should really consider getting checked out, even if you have to pay the bills back over time. It could be something as minor as the stress throwing your hormones out of whack, or it could be something much more serious. You mentioned that you aren't on birth control, but a doctor might recommend you start on the pill to regulate your period.
Some other factors to consider would be your age, whether you've previously taken birth control, what you've been through lately (like I said, the stress can throw your hormones off)... Since you mentioned a husband, smoking, and drinking, I would assume you aren't a teen in the first few years of having her period. Not to seem indelicate since I don't know your age, but oncoming menopause is a possibility, too. According to the article I linked below, premenopause can begin as early as 35, and can include symptoms such as irregular periods and abnormal bleeding.

The only way to really know for sure is to see a doctor; there are so many things that can go wrong with us ladies, and I know your husband wants you to be well. :) Good luck.
