I have been looking for a high school friend. She was missing at the 20th reunion and the 04th is next month. I have tried social networks, newspaper archives, cemeteries, find people sites. I'm coming up empty, and low on ideas.

You haven't mentioned finding any family they might have had in the area? If you remember their entire name, first last and middle try Google, you can then call down the list and maybe one of them will be the right one. You can get listed phone numbers for them on the same Google search. If they have unlisted or cell phone only that won't work. The search is called "reverse 411".

If you can find out if they moved to a specific region through any of those means... that is still a lead to narrow down your search.

After 20 years it is possible they moved away and at some point passed away. Good luck, I know this isn't easy as I've tried it a few times, had luck in some cases, and not in others.

Those are free methods. I assume it doesn't rise to the level of importance where paying a private investigator would be considered. They could search birth records if you remember where the friend was born, get SSI from that and search tax records, something as in individual you couldn't do.

I did go back to her home, now occupied by someone else. I got an obit on her father. He died in 1995 in Voorhees, NJ. I knew he was part of the Philadelphia orchestra while I knew her. I can try the reverse 411. I know nothing about her mother or if there were siblings.thanks for the information.
