In July, I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen and I loved it except for the fact that I had to take a pill every day. I got Mirena inserted and I bled every day all day, had cramps, light headedness to the point I thought I was going to pass out, and bloating so bad my new jeans wouldn't fit. I got that removed and my Dr told me that I could not go back on my old birth control because it wasn't strong enough. He switched me to Necon 1/35. I am having more issues with this one than ever. I am bloated, have gained 5lbs in a month, exercise regularly (I am a runner), and am having anxiety and nightmares. I want off this birth control but I was wondering why I could not go back to Ortho... Is it really that different? I know that it mimics my body's hormones while Necon delivers the same level of hormones throughout the month. I want my Ortho back! Any help or advice would be appreciated. I really just want a second opinion on going back to my Ortho. Necon is not for me and my periods have been somewhat regular since getting back on birth control pills.
