Will a dropped/dismissed Assault and battery charge against my husband in the State of Massachusetts show up a background check If I am in the nursing field. This is a first time offense for me.

If you brought the charge against him, I don't see what bearing it has on your personal background check, dismissed or not. All you can do is get the background check done, and if it shows up, then you don't use the background check for your job, unless of course, it reports in a favourable way.

I am sorry, what does charges again him have to do with you.
Do you also have charges also?
Depending on the type or company they do a background check though, if it does show up it should not effect anything, since charges were dropped

I apologize. I meant to say the charge was against me by my husband but it has been dropped.

In order for the OP to get a qualified answer we need to know specifics; you have now entered specifics. All you can go is go get the background check done, and then go from there, but if the charges were dropped then I don't think they will be entered in the database as positive.

The arrest will show up but sometimes the actual outcome does not show up. You may want to pull your own criminal background on yourself through your local PD to see just what actually comes up. You may have to prove to the nursing board that the charges against you were dropped and you were not convicted.
