When my wife goes into hotmail.com and begins to compose an email it brings up an email/contact that is not in her contact list. I have looked over her entire contact list but it is not showing. But when I click on the "to" line it does bring up a contact/email for someone we do not know.

No matter what I do I can't seem to get rid of this additional contact which only comes up when I create an email.

How do I get rid of this contact when it's not in my contact list?

Probably you have send email to this contact previously, although it is not added in your contact list. But in default, hotmail saves the addresses that you have communicate with them before. Maybe you don't remember when and why or maybe it was a spam contact. In any case,to remove this you should: Go to OPTIONS on your HOTMAIL page (upper right hand corner), Click MORE OPTIONS, Go to CUSTOMIZING HOTMAIL, Then to ADVANCED PRIVACY SETTINGS, Click on: Only suggest people in my contact list.
Hope it worked
