My son is 18. He is doing some abnormal things, like shaking his head while watching upside corner.

If he spit once then he continues for many times. If someone touch him he touch them back. He doesn't talk too much with people, but his school work is satisfactory.

This is happening since he was 10. What do you think, is he all right?

What country are you from?

Have you had him evaluated by doctors?

Sounds like some OCD, however I'm not seeing the "fear" you mentioned.

Have you talked with him, a real sit down heart to heart talk about any possible fears or worries about being out in the world, leaving home soon, getting along with people, general satisfaction with his life? I'm a little puzzled that this would concern you for the last 8 years and you are just now asking about it. Do you feel that yours is a warm, loving, demonstrative family? Are there siblings, and what do they say?

Telling strangers online a few sentences about someone isn't nearly enough. If he would like to see a doctor about any of this, I hope you can take him. He's an adult and can make his own decisions.

As mentioned there is OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) which might describe the way he is acting. There is Aspergers, harder to define, but it does often have a reclusive aspect while still being good in school. There is schizophrenia, which often gets full blown in the late teens or early 20s, if he's hallucinating. There's taking illegal drugs such as LSD.

What does he say about this?

I would hope and assume if it started at 10 and has been going on for 8 years that you have had him to many professionals. What has been their opinion of this.
