Wheel A of radius ra = 9.4 cm is coupled by belt B to wheel C of radius rc = 34.8 cm. Wheel A increases its angular speed from rest at time t = 0 s at a uniform rate of 5.8 rad/s2. At what time will wheel C reach a rotational speed of 197.5 rev/min, assuming the belt does not slip?

1. Find the 'distance' (or circumference) covered by wheel C when it's running at 197.5 rev/min.

2. That 'distance' will be covered by wheel A in the same time duration. Convert this distance to angular distance.

3. Use the kinematic equation that you know to get the time taken for wheel A to start from rest to that particular angular speed.

Can you post your answer? :)
