So! Last time I posted here I was curious as to whether I was pregnant and actually conceived. Well I am currently 10dpo on cd27 (I'm on a 31day cycle) just got a positive pregnancy test (well, 4 positives!) but I'm worried because I started spotting lightly pinkish discharge yesterday but this morning I have bad cramps like my period is on her way and the pink is now a bright red and has picked up a little in volume. Its not enough to fill a pad maybe so a panty liner or piece of toilet paper. Is this normal to experience early on in pregnancy? I have a doctors appt set up for next week but I'm so excited/nervous I'm fishing for answers...

Also,

Is it normal to have pain in your buttocks that shoots down the back of your thigh to your feet? I felt this burning sensation like I worked out all day yesterday and today it suddenly disappeared.. I don't know. It could be completely unrelated, but I've never felt that before without working out.

About 1 in 10 pregnant women will experience some bleeding during pregnancy, it is quite common. However you should ALWAYS see your doctor or midwife about any unexplained bleeding in pregnancy. It is not often caused by anything serious but it is important to check it out and be sure.

During early pregnancy, you might get some light bleeding, called 'spotting', when the foetus plants itself into the wall of your womb. This is also known as implantation bleeding, and often happens around the time that your first period after conception would have been due.

Bottom line, see your doctor or midwife to check this out, and you can also discuss any concerns about the pain you experienced.
