The new fuel pump has different wires than the old one or the ones on the truck it also has a different shape plug.

If the plug is different, and the new pump didn't come with a wiring supplement to advise you to color cod differences between factory and the replacement part. You have the wrong part, try taking your old part with you to the parts store, some models have unnoted mid model year changes, making it hard to find the right replacement for certin parts.

Thank You but we got the wiring diagram from the chevy dealership. But still checked all wires with a meter also to make double sure. Truck is back on the road thanks to the worlds greatest Cousin and my wonderful Husband
