I am sure this is healthy since she isn't skinny and looks good, how much more growing with she do? I know Rottweillers typically keep growing to a year old then gradually fill out to two years old. Just wondering if anyone can tell what more I can expect, thanks

Sorry but there's really no difinitive answer. Size is all in the genetics and different lines mature at different rates and at different stages.

We can work off some averages though, an average 8 month old Rotti weighs around 75 - 85 pounds, that is the general weight and b*tches are 90% of the time smaller than dogs so it sounds like she is on track.

At 8 months she has done most of the growing in height, she may gain an inch, two at the most at the wither but it will be much slower from now on.

You are correct about the filling out taking until 2 years, some take even longer. After 12 months if she is ready to start doing some harder exercise which will help gain muscle tone. Hard exercise (by which I mean jogging, running, jumping etc) is done after 12 months as before then it can do permanent damage to the growing joints.

Ya I have heard not to exercise them heavy until a year and a half, I am just curious what weight she will get to, if she gets to mid eighties in weight, I will be more then happy. I didn't want as a big of dog this time around so that is why I got the female, I don't want a hundred pound plus dog but between 80 and 90 would be perfect. Her mother is 77 pounds and her dad is a buck forty so who knows what she will grow to, hopefully she will tack on an extra 15 pounds in the next four months, thanks for your answer
