I have had this problem three times over a span of three months. First time, it just shut off while driving, started 15 minutes later. Month later same thing at a stop light. Started back up in 15 , checked fuel pump, brand new fuel filter , replaced ignition control module, ran for about a month fine, then going abnotu 50 mph and started chugging and shut off, started back up later that day drove it for 40 miles. Any suggestions on a trial and error fix, what to check for and what to fix first?

1. Check for any codes with a scan tool. Autozone will do for free.
2. Replace coil.
3. Replace main relay--definitely check this area out.
3. Run K-Test on ECM. See section A of the "Sticky."
4. Replace spark plugs (NGK only), rotor, and distributor cap.

When you replaced the ICM, did you apply silicone grease to the back of it?

I'm not sure about the grease on the ignition module. I had someone else put it in. I will try those things in order to try and figure this out, I was leaning maybe towards main relay , for about two years now in the summer if I left it sit a few days without starting it had a sluggish start , not sure though, thanks for your help and I will keep this updated.
