Been working on this truck on and off for a couple of yrs the problem is with the engine stalling even after warmed up. Had carb rebuilded starts great can't seem to get it to take the gas without stalling. Joe H

Have you made sure that compression is OK in the engine? If so then next step is to adjust the valves. Make sure they are correct. What type of fuel are you using? Most fuels today are unleaded. In the days of glory for the truck it was leaded gas. The lead acts as a lubricant inside the engine. Also the octane of today is much lower then it used to be. You may need to add lead and an octane booster to get it to run right. At that time your going to have to readjust the timing. If you have never (or anyone else) changed the valves in that engine then those valves will be prone to burning if there is no lead in the fuel.
Keep us posted.
