Hi I am wondering if I am pregnant I don't know if my head is getting to me because I want it so badly or am I really feeling this. I have had slight bleeding that is reddish brown and constipation I also had diahrea and my breasts are tingling and the areola is a little bigger and darker. I have had weird cramps and tightening in my abdomin. My last period began the 17 of August. I feel pregnatn but I fear that's just my head messing with me. Please help me asap! Thank you
K8eemarie,
I would love to help you, however the symptoms you are experiencing are not only pregnancy symptoms, but they are premenstrual symptoms as well.
The first symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. So, unfortunately, you are playing the waiting game and have to wait to see if your period comes.
I realize this is not the news you were hoping for, but I will keep my fingers crossed that you do miss your period this month and that pregnancy test comes out positive.

I'm wondering what I can do to increase my chances of getting pregnant... also I forgot to post that my boyfriend keeps telling me that my face looks like I have blush on is that a sign of pregnancy or menstral cycle I don't know. I am so sad knowing that this could be my period coming on. Its just weird because I have never had these symptoms with my period. I so confused. I was on the depo shot for like 6 months and stopped taking it in feb. I don't know if this makes a diff.
There really is not much you can do to increase your chances. You need to be living a healthy lifestyle. No smoking, alcohol or drugs. It would also be beneficial for you to start taking a prenatal vitamin now as it aids in preventing neural tube defects that happen in the fetus many times before a woman knows she is pregnant. I recommend prenatals to all women of child bearing years.
Now you say you were on depo. While it's possible to get pregnant this quickly, I tell all of my patients that this should be considered long term birth control and that it can take as long as 18 months after stopping before conception occurs.

Sorry to bother you again but I just want to know is there anyway to clean the depo out of your system? I was researching on the internet and I heard yes and no so I don't know what to believe. Thanks again for all your help. And I believe that the depo should be advertised that it's a long term birth control no one told me that or I wouldn't have used it...
Time is the only thing that will cleanse your body of the depo shot. I'm sorry your doctor or nurse did not advise you of the long term effects.

We all wish you luck, and of course talk with your doctor on things that can help, work on timing to help make use of most fertile times.

Well I woke up today I can smell everything I'm super tired and my stomach is queasy but no puke. I don't know if I'm really feeling this way or is my head getting to me that bad. I feel different but I'm not sure. I'm going to take a pregnancy test tomOrrow morning but I think it would be too early to tell I don't know I'm confused a little.

Are you working with your OB/Gyn to get pregnant?
You are playing the waiting game NOW, but what are you doing ACTIVELY to get pregnant? Are you tracking ovulation?
You really should start with your OB/Gyn and start tracking your basal body temperature every day so that you can start determining when in your cycle you ovulate--if it's even regular for you, as it is not regular for all women.
It's not uncommon for couples actively trying to get pregnant to take up to a year to do so. It took my husband and I 10 years, and it took another friend 22 months after stopping her birth control. Tracking ovulation is a good start on getting pregnant, but you really should work with your OB/Gyn to determine what is best for YOU in getting pregnant. Age IS a factor for some women, and there are dangers in getting pregnant either at too early an age or too late an age.
Believe me, I know what it's like to "feel" pregnant before that missed period----and I know how much it hurts when your period starts each month. My best advice is to relax about it, because being stressed and anxious about trying to get pregnant is one of the surest ways to make sure you do NOT get pregnant.

Well I am 22 and we are very actively trying and I have been tracking my ovulation for a while now I have not takled with an obgyn yet but made an appt today. Some women say they have a 6th sense and that is how I feel when the test today said negative and the many tests before that said negative I just said OK not our time but this time is different I truly feel pregnant and the weird thing is that so does my boyfriend and everyother time he straight up told me I'm most likely not pregnant. He even is feeling this way too. I don't know I'm just going to play the waiting game... please keep your fingers crossed with me. And thank you so much for your advice!! GREATLY APPRECIATED!! :)

A common mistake made by many women tracking ovulation is that they have sex as soon as they see that spike in temperature. That's TOO LATE!
You need to track it over several months so that you have an idea of when you're going to ovulate so you can have sex those couple days BEFORE your temp spike.
Good luck with the OB/Gyn--let us know what she says as well. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Well I have 3 or 4 days until I should start my period or take another test. I have had slight spotting when I wipe for about 5 days now I've looked that up and heard it may be implantation bleeding I'm really hoping so I also have headaches non stop and weird aches in my lower abdomen. I have felt queesy but not throwing up yet and last not the taste of my hand made me gag also ranch on my salad and I LOVE ranch. We will see. I keep telling myself it will happen when it happens but I have this feeling almost like a 6th sense that says I am with child. Its weird and hard to explain and even my boyfriend says the same and usually he says I'm most likely not we will see though. I think this is implantaion bleeding though... let me know your output please... thank u
