I have 4 cats that are all feed the same food. I free feed dry wood and give a tablespoon to each cat in the morning and in the evening. I do switch brands and flavors etc. 3 cats seem to be fine. My new stray adoptee has developed diearhea in the last 2 days.. she otherwise seems fine - drinks lots of water and is very affectionate. She has been to the vets and boarded and had multiple tests etc for parasites both inside and out and has been given a clean bill of health. Can it just be the fact that I need ot be more consistent with the food for her? I've had my other cats on many different brands of food and never went through this before. PS - I do try to buy the best premium foods I can find.

Yes, she may be reacting to the food changes. We've rescued stray cats too, and they seemed to need a few weeks on a consistent diet once they were indoors all the time.

Thanks! I appreciate the response. I've discovered that I have to keep my new addition on dry food only with very little canned food and that seems to work - she will be on this diet for a while. My other 3 are on more of a canned food diet and seem to be responding OK... just wanted to make sure I didn't have to stress out my new one out again with yet another visit to the vet.
