I have a Maytag Dryer, Model Number MDE 9206 AYW That hums when start button is pressed, if you open the door, hold in the door switch and spin drum while pressing start, it will run fine.
I don't fully understand Motor Drives on Dryers, seems heater element goes through motor, and understand there is a motor switch, not sure if centrifugal switch to be sure motor is turning before Heat is applied?
Capacitor? Switch connection contacts? Motor?
