Hi my name is Brandon and I live in Ohio and I am currently being harassed by my neighbor and her boyfriend.

There are three apartments in this building two are rent controlled by the government housing agency "Portage

Metropolitan Housing Authority". Well long story short I have been accused of shooting out my neighbors car window

With a pellet gun and am innocent of said accusation however when I proceeded to tell them this they made death

Threats towards me and my wife. My neighbor's boyfriend who is not on the pmha lease for her apartment but, lives

There anyway today swung at me after I told them I don't know who did it considering that there is a crack house

Down the road I wouldn't doubt that a crackhead jonesing for a fix didn't break into the car and steal something

That they could sell for a quick buck. I live next to an women's shelter and they have cameras that can see where

Where the guy swung on me and the death threats were made but when I brought this to the policemans attention he

Said that he wouldn't check the camera because he didn't want to and I have a son that is about to be 2 and I am

Afraid for my son because of the harm that this could do to him mentally and I don't know what I am supposed to do!

If you know the number to PMHA call them and tell them about the boyfriend not on the lease for the apt. More than likely the neighbor will have to move as he will probably raise her monthly income that she is using to live there. Might take a few weeks/months to accomplish. Don't bother with the manager as they are probably in on the gag and could care less. This way that apartment could be made available to a needy family instead of a greedy single person living there probably rent free on my dime (I live in Ohio too).

Just stay inside and keep your son inside as well as these people are obviously nasty folks and will say and do anything to you and probbly get away with it. The swinging of the boyfriend against you is one thing, but when he actually HITS you, then you call the police and they will haul his behind off to jail for attacking you.

Do you even own a pellet gun? If no, then you have nothing to worry about this. If you do, then I would suggest you get rid of it ASAP as this could be the diffference between you living there and moving. If I remember public housing does not allow weapons (and the pellet gun could be considered a weapon, regardless of how far fetched that could be) and no felons are permitted in public housing either. Let's hope the boyfriend has a nice felony record.

Actually the car window would be a misdemeanor and even if the boyfriend SAW you do it, a COP has to see you do it or a photo of you shooting it out or it does not count and you could not be arrested.

... (and the pellet gun could be considered a weapon, regardless of how far fetched that could be)...

I know nothing of the situation that is the main part of the question here but I wanted to comment on this part in case it may clear something up...

It may SEEM to be far-fetched but there are certain states that DO consider a pellet/BB PISTOL as a weapon. In NJ for example, you need to fill out the same paper work to purchase a pellet pistol as you would to buy an actual handgun. I know that Ohio is very strict with their gun laws so it is entirely possible that they have the same view of pellet pistols.

Yes, Odinn, Ohio is wacky when it comes to ANY projectile weapon.
