When I bring up Internet Explorer and clik on something I get a box that says there a problem and is closing, in a second it is back. I try to click on links like the ones you have in your answers it goes to a blank window. I thought it was the flash player so I uninstalled to reinstal whe I click on Run or Save it does nothing. Nothing showes up.

Have you performed a virus and malware scan?

Using another computer, download Malwarebytes (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Reviews and free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware downloads at CNET Download.com (http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button)), copy it to a flash drive, then bring that to the malfunctioning computer, install it, update it, and perform a scan.

Do the same with your anti-virus. If you don't have one, I recommend Avira (Avira AntiVir Personal - Free Antivirus (http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus)) or Avast (avast! Free Antivirus - Download Software for Virus Protection (http://www.avast.com/en-us/free-antivirus-download)).

After that, run HiJackThis (HijackThis - Trend Micro USA (http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/)) and post the log.

You have a virus that has put a proxy into your browser. Boot to safe mode and open Explorer and go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Settings and go to Firefox if you have it and go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Connection>Settings and see if "Manual proxy configuration" or "Automatic Proxy... " is checked. If so, delete the proxy and use the antivirus programs suggested above to remove the virus. It sounds like the scare-ware that has been going around lately. Malwarebytes and Norton both have very good scanning and repair tools to get rid of it and I have had several friends who have had to do this. All were successful. If I can help further you may write me at [email protected]. DrTom4444
