Or blood stain after nose cauterization?

From my research, the stain is more or less permanent until the skin layers fluff off. Trying to abrasively take it off or use other methods may be more an irritant than anything else. If this is a cosmetic issues, can it be covered up with a small band-aid or something?

This stuff is used a lot by dog breeders and vets to stop bleeds from dew claw removal, etc. one thing a Vet friend of mine does is wash her hand in a salt solution before it becomes a stain, she swears by it, but that unfortunately will not help you now.

Cliff, with all due respect, I'm not sure this has to do with dogs as it is in the Child and teen health board.

It is the experience of the humans applying the silver nitrate, having it get on their hands and how they deal with it, not the experience of the dogs.

Thanks! Alas, I should have applied salt water yesterday before it became a real stain. Alas, it in/on my nose ---not a great way to start the school year by freaking out my students. Any other possibilities out there?

Concealing make up? I would use the band aid. They make little round ones and transparent ones too.

I could not understand why so complications are made.

To remove Silver nitrate solution simply dip your stained portion in Fabric whitener solution . In India it is Robin which I tested and found good.

Your stains will vanish in just 5 minutes of rinsing.

I know this is an older post, but I came here looking for how to remove the stsins from my hand after it was used to stop bleeding after an accident. The post from CliffARobinson was relevant TO ME even though it was (supposedly) about dogs. It wasn't even really about dogs, it was about a vet that uses the stuff and gets it off HER hands with salt water.
You ^%&$ing kid people see the word "dog" and immediately dismiss it as irrelevant because this is "the Child and teen health board" and berate the only poster with a good answer. Read the post and you'll realize that you needed to spend more time in reading comprehension and less time populating the world with the next generation of morons.
J_9... take you own avatar's advice and think of the bunnies.
