What are the steps for signing over parental rights?

How do I stop a mother from using me as a support check only and dictating how and when I can see my child?

Hello denied:

There aren't any. You can't do it. If you don't want to see your kid, then don't. But, you're obligated to support him until he's 18.

Go to court and have your issues settled in law. Then its in writing and approved by the system.

If you haven't started to get proper times set up for visitation I would now. If you lack in funds.. you can do this yourself and just pay court fees.. or you can try and get free help through free laywers in your community. (ask the courts on this information)..
Now.. if you have already got this established.. you only talk to her when you only need to.. ignore calls.. she will voice mail you if there is a real issue... nothing wrong with that..
Its like training a dog.. sorry but true... you only reward the behavior that is positive.. (ie answer the phone if there is a serious issue.. etc)... ignore the bad (avoiding calls etc)..
If child support is already up and done.. then ignore her when she asks for more.. its her responsibility to be a parent and use the money wisely..
You can be a butt.. and ask the courts to show proof of exactly what she uses that money for..
But why go that low? Its only going to irate her and encourage her more...
Simply ignore her when you can... honestly.. that's the best advice.. when you say no.. MEAN IT!! She's acting like a spoiled child.. so treat her as such.

Is there a visitation schedule set up? If there is and she is not adhering to it, then you go back to court and ask for a contempt citation against her.

I've merged your two threads since they are related. I find it paradoxical that you ask how to see your child as well as how to abandon your child.

There appears to be this myth that a parent can just sign away their rights to a child. But its just a myth. There is a sticky at the top of this forum that talks about terminating rights. I suggest you read it. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
