I have been having some issues with my outside A/C unit. I have replaced the contactor, plus I was blowing the 3amp fuse every time the A/C would start up. So I thought there must be a short in the two wire line from the out side unit to the furnace. I pulled the wires out and check for contiunity, which there was plus 24 volts showing up. So now I thought it could be the tstat, which then I replaced.. well still will not turn off. Is there something wrong with the relay switch? Or a relay switch on the compressor unit? Only way I can cool off the house it to unplug the furance/blower in the garage instead of using the breaker switch. I'm wondering is the contactor bad? Did I not installed it correctly.. any help or ideas.. thanks
