I was talking to her for a while on Facebook because she added me, and I couldn't remember if I knew who she was, and she said she was 14, and she started hitting on me. So it led up to me going to her house, and having sex with her, and once I found out she was actually 12, I feel like a pedophile. I had no idea she was just a kid. What do I do!!

You feel that way because you seem like one for having sex with a child.
Of course you are also guilty of rape, ( may have been with 14 year old also) but going away to Juv Detention seems not to matter,
Of course a real worry of perhaps her dad or family wanting to harm you.
What protection did you use ? And of course a STD or a pregnancy does not sound like something you were worried about either.
Time to keep it in the pants and start thinking what you are doing

Think with your big head next time, and don't be dumb enough to be seduced by a kid, and hope she ain't pregnant, and gave you something to remember her by!!
Looked to good to be true didn't it! Better get checked by a doctor dude.

A 14 yr old is a kid as well. Depending on where you live either age can land you in jail, though a 12 yr old is even more likely to.
What really bothers me is that you had sex with a minor but that doesn't bother you. Just that she was 2 years younger than you thought. You are 16. You have no business having sexual intercourse with anyone since you are not ready to have and support a child.
My hope is that you use this as a wakeup call and keep it in your pants until you are mature enough to deal with the consequences of sexual behavior.

im not one to have sex with children
YOU are a child, anyone under 18 is a child!! So where do you get off thinking that you aren't one to have sex with children. You don't really have a clue do you? NO ONE should engage in sexual intercourse unless they are physically, emotionally and financially prepared to have a child. No form of protection is 100%, so anytime you engage in intercourse you risk having a child.
Sex is not recreation. Its something one should only do with someone you are in a long term committed relationship with. Not someone you met online. Its pretty clear you went over to her house with the intent of having sex with her. While she may have agreed and encouraged it, it was still wrong and you are still, most likely, guilty of statutory rape. If her parents find out, you are in big trouble.
Again, keep it in your pants before you wind up in jail or a father.

I think you raped her , since you admitted to doing it.
If you have sex with someone who is under the age of consent it is rape, 12 is under the age anywhere I know of.
A 12 year old can not legally agree to have sex. So she could have begged you, and it is still rape.
You are showing how not ready to have sex you are, by not knowing the law and also not knowing the responsibility you are taking.
So yes, she can report that the two of you had sex, she is the victim you are a person who raped her.
Welcome to the adult word. And think about a wonderful jail cell with a new room mate named bubba

Wow, 16 and having sex, and with no one younger than 14? You think it's appropriate to have sex with 14 year olds? Do they have to be sexually mature or does that even matter? What about when you turn 18? Do they still qualify if they are 16? This has the words WRONG written all over it. I wonder how the OP's parents would feel if they found out he was having sex with 14 year olds? Or 12 for that matter!
It's a shame because the only real lesson he will learn is when he gets caught with either an STD or a baby. Both are horrible catch 22's. If he gets an STD, no one knows how many people will come in contact with it and him and also will get infected. And the worst case scenario is him getting someone pregnant. How many run away dads and neglectful mothers are already out there? And if he is regularly having sex with 14 year old, chances are it's going to be one of those girls who get caught and stuck with the responsibility of raising a child on her own.
To the OP, please re consider having sex with young children and young teens. Take it from me, a young, single mom. Having sex is fun at the time, but raising a kid on your own is not.

Just reading this and need to throw this in.
The OP is in Canada so this aplies:
Definition: Beginning May 1, 2008, the age of sexual consent in Canada is 16 years old.
The age of consent in Canada is the age at which the criminal law recognizes the legal capacity of a young person to consent to sexual activity. Under the Criminal Code of Canada anyone under the age of 16 cannot legally consent to any form of sexual activity, from kissing to intercourse. It means that adults are criminally liable if they have sex with someone under that age. The offence carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
The law has a "close-in-age" exemption of less than five years, which permits teens to engage in consensual sex with a partner who is less than five years older as long as the older partner is not in a position of trust or authority and the relationship is not exploitive.
The age of protection for exploitive sexual activity, such as sexual activity involving prostitution, pornography, or a relationship of trust, is 18. The age of consent for anal sex is also 18.
Age of Consent in Canada - Definition of Age of Consent in Canada (http://canadaonline.about.com/od/canadianlaw/g/ageofconsent.htm)
So while incredibly stupid and naïve, this may well be your defence (bolded)

rocketmon95 does not find this helpful : because he thinks I raped her and that it was against her will even though she lied to me about her age and it was her idea to have sex
What you don't understand is that she is legally incapable of consenting to having sex. Chuck called it rape because in most places having sex with a 12 year old IS legally rape whether she asked for it, consented to it or whatever.
And that doesn't take into account the immorality of engaging in sex with a minor.

Sometimes it is recommended to think with your big head instead of the smaller one. What is the problem of having sex with the kid if you are a kid as well. What you need to do is grow up and stop having random sex with people you barely know. Then, you wouldn't be having these type of issues to begin with. Focus on things that matter like school work and trying to see what college you may want to get into after graduating, stop wasting your time trying to get laid with whoever steps in your way, there will be a lot of time for that in the future TRUST ME, for now just try to setup your life in a positive way, and if you do have the opportunity to be intimate with someone make sure you use protection unless you are willing for your penis to rot away or having a kid by the time you turn 17.
Good Luck,
Javi

Could not agree more, would've have given greenie if allowed. This site gets over a million unique visitors a month and is indexed on Google, so your post will be seen by many.
Best advice I can give, is if you have the right to remain silent in Canada (I would imagine they do), use it.

When was her last period?
If you don't know THAT (about ANY female, not just this one), then you're just not mature enough to have sex.
HOpefully, she's not pregnant now. If she IS pregnant now, you're in a world of trouble, because a 12 year old who thinks having sex with Facebook strangers is okay is ALSO the kind of 12 year old who will KEEP the child. Good luck with that child support payment.
