You have more problems if you have a restaurant and allow the chef to cook what they want,
And you have a bad chef if he only knows how to cook one dish.
So perhaps hire a new chef, perhaps take control and decide what your company does.
If you know so little of running this business, perhaps you should just close

Chuck is right. I'm preparing to open a restaurant and do you think it's going to be up to the people that work for me to decide how the menu works? No. I am also not going to hire someone that can't do what they need to do... that includes a chef who only knows how to make one thing.
There may be more involved to your problem though. How is the location? Is the "menu" something that people will want? How are your prices? Is your place crappy looking inside? Clean? Appealing? Do the people that work for you treat the customers well or poorly? I could go on but those are some things for you to consider.

He reported my post and said that his cook can cook many things, just not the type of food he wants cooked,
Sounds like time for a new cook, but it really, really sounds like this poster has no skill and training as a manager,

Your post was reported? For what, honesty?
Nothing you said was wrong based on what he said. It does sound like he has issues running a place and he made it sound like the cook belonged at McDonalds.
Oh well... some people don't want to hear the truth.
(golly, I hope I wasn't reported!)

Ok then Max... Really, what Fr_Chuck and I said to you is true. It may have come across as a little rough but there is no need for us to lie to you and try to make it all nice... it is what it is. You came here looking for help and answers and we both told you what we honestly thought. So, you can continue as you are until you lose your business or you can try to turn it around. One other thing that may help if you are new to all this and unsure what you're doing is take classes on management if you have anything like that available to you. If not, maybe you can ask advice from other business owners near you. I have found that as long as you don't ask anyone who is direct competition, they will usually help you out.
