Hello my name is Leticia and I'm 17 years old the reason why I am writing is because I need help badly, here's the story.
I have 3 cousins ( two girls one boy, one which isn't biologically his ) who all live with their mother in Long Island while their father lives here in the Bronx, about 4 days ago my younger cousin informed me that her mothers husband tried to kiss her and proceeded to tell me more about the man and how he's tried to molest my other cousin and another cousin from the mothers side of the family. My uncle reported this to ACS and called the police to figure out what should be his next move, the police told him to keep the kids with him until ACS follows up and to also inform a police department in the mothers county. Today, four days later, my uncle calls to inform us that he will be returning the kids back to the mother due to some agreement ( I believe ) and that the sergeant in Long Island informed him to return the kids to their mother due to there not being enough evidence of child molestation. My mother does not want them to go back because she believes the mother would abuse them for opening their mouths. I forgot to mention that the mother of the children and their grandmother as well was well aware of the molesting, my question is can my mother (their aunt) take custody of the kids because she believes the judge wouldn't look at her as someone important being that she has no legal custody?
