Asalam alikkum doctor I am Ilham from SriLanka I would like to ask a question that when we are in sujud while praying can we ask dua by using another language except Arabic?as I am Srilankan my mother tongue is tamil if I ask dua in tamil will Allah accept my prayers?

Alaykum Salal, Ilhamyehiya. Allah, as you know, knows ALL languages.

I am well aware that some prefer that prayers be done in Arabic, however Allah knows the heart.

RickJ is correct. When I first started my journey into Islam, I was told it was absolutely acceptable for me to give Dua in english, as I did not know Arabic. I only know the alphabet at this time! And I still use english. But Insha Allah I will learn arabic in His time.
