I bought a print at a yard sale. At the top it says " Published by Eyre and Spottiswoode (Publishers) Limited, London, E.C. 4. Printed in England"

The title of the print is "The Mill at Dusk"
"George Clausen, R.A."

On the back, the stamp says "Phillips Toronto Ltd"
The town it comes from has been somehow erased but the number of the print is 53582.

I'd like to have some more information because what I got so far is very interesting :)

Hi kittylyne, yes I know of George Clausen, he passed away around l945 or so and his paintings were very popular within the artistic communities worldwide. If you want to know about him, Google his name; there are many websites explaining his paintings and renown as a British artist.

Yes, I already did all that :) and I also found out more about the publishing house Eyre and Spottiswoode (which is not known as that anymore because it was integrated under a different name). I just wonder if the print I have is somehow valuable to someone; I'm not doing this out of greed, I'm just very intrigued by the information that I've gleaned so far.
Thanks for your help
