It looks like this...
http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTwrN_1HKo1ykBwBnuYPGcqzvcBPfSP-869sQgHXhfyYT0VpbFtVA
and basically it keeps popping up critical errors and fake hard drive crashes, and it has hidden EVERYTHING on my hard drive making it impossible for me to do much of anything, and when I unhide everything, the virus just hides it again. I don't have anything at all in my start menu.
I tried a system restore to a previous saved setting, but it wouldn't initiate. I've looked online, and found that malwarebytes will remove it, and I am in that process.
can anyone tell me ANYthing else I need to do once malwarebytes is finished with its scan and removal?

Yeah its gone now that malwarebytes finished and restarted. And the computer is good. But my files are still all hidden. And I can't figure out where to unhide everything. EVERYTHING is hidden lol. Computer, program files, everything in my start menue (system tools, accessories, program files, ect) nothing is there anymore

Some are more insidious than others. I've repaired quite a few but I can't do it like this, I need the PC in hand. Running a fully updated Malwarebytes as stated earlier in Safe Mode may help.
Check through Windows Explorer that your data and programs are still there, maybe it's just the Windows menu that was reset.

OK so I got the files and everything figured out. But now I can't open any programs :( it just sits there. To get to IExplorer I had to use a back door to get it open. Grrr. And a friend of mine suggested using Google chrome instead.

Can you check if you are unable to open any .exe file?

I'm sure I can if you tell me how ;) lol. I'm a quick learner, I'm just not super duper computer savy. I can keep one running, and I can usually fix basic things, but ask me to make a computer work from scratch, or fix a major problem and I'm lost.
The only way I can think of to look is left click-propertys-attributes. But its not read only. But that's all I can think of

Mmm be right back a friend of mine suggested turning OFF the computer and turning it back on rather than just restarting

OK so that is fixed.
Now I can't play sound in internet explorer. Grrrr. Sound plays fine on the computer its self. But anything on the net (like netflix, or youtube) its not giving any sound

Try Firefox instead of internet explorer

Yeah, IE was the problem I'm thinking as far as the sound. Something got corrupted from the virus if I am understanding all the articles correctly.
I am using Google chrome, and I love it. (ive tried Firefox in the past and it just lags my computer lol)
