I had it repaired at one time and the mechanic said if there is any more problems will need to put in a new window regulator. I priced them and there about seventy-five dollars new and the junk yard is probably twenty it comes with the guides and the motor. Or you can buy just the motor. If I swap just the motor I don't have to mess with the window it self and the guides. I'm not sure it is just the motor, any way to confirm?

It is slow going but the window still goes up it has not gotten any worse. Wondering winter coming don't want to have the window stuck down. Is there any way to tell if it is the motor or the guides. I can swap the motor and that might fix it. I'm not sure the mechanic is no longer in business so I can't ask him. I'm not even sure that will solve the problem other than the guy said that was needed to be done if there was any more problems.

What kind of car is this?

Regulator can and do go bad... they usually bend out of shape causing binding. When that happens they are junk and need replaced.

If you can get one new for $75... get it. The labor isn't going to be any less with a used one that might not be much better.
