I had accident and broke both my elbows so in incredible pain and off work.

My Cavalier King Charles ***** Holly obviously had a routine of 1) walk before work wee/poo 2)left on her own whilst at work 3) home from work 4) tea 5) walk and wee/poo 6) Before bed Let outside back for wee.

Obviously under the circumstances the routine has gone and I have relied on neighbours walking her. She has now taken to weeing and pooing anywhere she wants. Today I got up early and let her out of the back door where she point blank refused to wee or poo. I let her back in and she pooed up and down the kitchen!!

Later she had a walk and did a wee and poo. Came home refused to stop barking at the T.V. so was locked out of the living room SHE HAD ACCESS TO THE BACK VIA THE DOOR THAT WAS OPEN but instead she had another wee in the hall!

As you can imagine it is very hard and painful for me to clean up after her and I am beginning to resent the little dog I so loved before this happened to me. Please help as I want my little Holly back.

He knows you aren't yourself, routine has changed, so he is acting out, same as a kid would.I think you had better crate him for a bit until he learns his manners again and realizes you are still the alpha in the household.

I agree crating is an excellent option. While you are away or in bed resting use the crate. Don't use it for punishment.

It's hard for her as well, she doesn't understand why her routine was upset and can totally feel that you are not yourself. I'm sorry you are in this situation, I hope you find yourself with some relief soon.
