Jet pump pressure at 50psi won't shut off tried pressure switch no luck

Does 5the pump go past the cut off point of 50 PSI? The first thing I would is shut the power off at the breaker box and open up the control box. Next, I would check the contacts to see id they had burnt and fused together in the closed position. Let me know what you find. Good luck. Tom
