What is the correlation between head of water in feet and water pressure in pounds per sq inch?
head of water in ft... a water column at 1ft height would have the pressure of 0.433 lb per square inches ,PSI, at the bottom... or a 10ft "head"= 10 ft height water column,WC, equal to 4.33 psi
1 cubic ft of water weight 62.4 lb... 62.4/ 144= 0.433

50M height is about 72PSIG, or 86.7PSIA, or 5.9 atm... 50M = 166 feet, 166x.0433= 72
