We have had the same TV in the same room for over a year. Yesterday it starts cutting on and off. I thought the TV was just bad so I replaced it. The new TV did the same thing. Now I thought it was the outlet so I get a extension cord try a different outlet nothing changes. If I face the TV away from the window it works fine the same remote works both of the tvs that I tried. If I take the TV to the other side of the house it works fine. What kind of signal could I be picking up through the window that can be cutting a TV on and off?

Infrared radiation from the sun. Your remote control works via infrared signals.

As it turns out the remote to the old TV power was stuck on and cuting on and of the other TV...

Glad you found it... surprised a different tv's remote would do that to the new one... the codes are so different the odds of that were pretty low.

Eh, not necessarily. If both TVs were the same brand (definitely likely since people tend to buy a lot of the same brand).
I've also seen where the neighbor had the same TV and was flipping channels from across the way.

Yes... assuming it's the same brand it's more likely. But Some brands can have 6 or more different codes possible.
