I want to know if the non custodail parent has not had any contact with their child for over 2 weeks with No way for the child or parent to get in contact can you file for motifcation of visitation due to abandonment on the absent parent they are not paying child support and can not be found to serve them with the court date to set up child support and custody is in place. We do I do to keep then from dropping back out of my child's life for another 4 years as they have done in the past

First, its not a good idea to piggy back your question on another thread, especially a FAQs thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread. Please post Answers to this thread for follow-up.

Second, any question on law needs to include your general location as laws vary by area.

Two weeks is nothing. A court won't listen to a modification after only 2 weeks. Generally they will require a period of months to take any action. However, if there is a previous long term pattern they may take action. On the other hand, if they aren't exercising their visitation why taker any action?

Child Support is a different matter. If the court has ordered support and the NCP doesn't show up for a hearing support may be ordered by default. But if you can't find him how are you going to collect. And if he shows up after a time, you can have him arrested for non support.
