My friend replaced the 3 speed chain switch because the old one wouldn't shut off, the fan would stay on as long as the wall switch was on. Now it doesn't work. I only feel a hum on 1 setting. The fans won't spin but the hub will when I take the blades off and give it a push. Can anyone help? I have no clue what switch he got or what kind of fan it is.
