View Full Version : Out side ac unit will not start

I have a Bryant 2 ton ac unit. It had a leak in one of the lines lost some refrigerant maybe all of it.Hooked my gauges up to it no pressure on either gauge.hooked up R-22 tank set inside thermostat to for lowest setting. I can hear the click in the outside unit but compressure does not start. I push contractor in and it will start put when I take my finger off it stops.How do I recharge my system.PLEASE HELP

Are you trained and licensed to handle r-22?
I`m guessing not or you would know what to do
It is illegal unless you have a license and against the law for me to help you, sorry, but I doubt you`ll get any help here .

PS, also its not at all very wise to be pushing in a contactor with your finger,, this also tells me you havn`t had any training. You could very well end up in the funeral home wondering how you got there
