We redid the pluming in the bathroom, tub is working great both hot and cold, but the vanity gets cold water only, nothing out of the hot water, took off the valve and still no water.

Thanks Mark there is no shut off valve, its only the sink that is not getting water from the faucet. The tub kitchen sink all getting hot water, sink not a drop

Hi Ellen

What is, "took off the valve and still no water"? Did you take off the shut off from the pipe coming out of the wall?

If so, and there is no hot water coming to the pipe then I hope you have access to the pipes from below. If so, I'd start by looking in the basement(?) and see if there is a shutoff that needs to be opened.

If that isn't it and you are having an issue with the faucet itself then please let me know that, OK?

I'm in and out over the next hour (means post an answer to my questions and then refresh your screen or profile every five minutes or so).

Mark

Hi Ellen...

Looks like they combined your posts making my first reply seem silly, but here we go on the second post (please post your reply at the bottom of the page so it posts to this thread... don't start another one, OK?).

Now, there should be shutoffs under your sink... I recommend installing them.

Did you disassemble the faucet yet? If not, shut off the water supply and then disassemble the hot side of the faucet. Inspect the cartridge/washers and then stick a towel over the faucet while you quickly PULSE the water back on to see if you can get anything out of the faucet. If water comes out the hot side replace the parts and assemble the faucet... see how it works now.

If that fails then you should probably have a plumber pop by to check this out as you might have missed something during the bathroom remodel... maybe?

Let us know what happens...

Mark
