Can swelling at the stomach be the first signs of a pregnant cat?

If your cat is spayed, she cannot be pregnant. If your cat is not spayed and you let her run around outside loose, yes she might be pregnant. If she is an indoor cat and there are no males around, there is something else more serious going on.
Please take your cat to a vet to find out exactly what is going on with her. She might be seriously ill. You won't know until a vet has checked her over.

Helen, please post your question as a new question so others can see it and it will stand out on the message boards. This is catlover14's posting. I really am not a cat expert but I am able to answer catlover's question.

Sometimes swelling can be signs of the cat being pregnant. But not all the time. It could also be caused by mal nutrition or maybe even a stomach virus. Just in case, to make sure that everything is all right, you might want to take your cat to the vet to get it checked out. Good Luck!

Yes it can, or it can be liver problems as well, but does your cat not eat a lot, but still look fat
