She has had 5 kittens but at least one remains several hours later what should or can I do at home?

Sorry but it sounds like your going to have to take her to the vet and shell out the cash, some vets are pretty good about giving you repayment options over time. This doesn't sound normal at all and the cat could be dying. Expenses like this are all part of having a pet.

Is she still contracting? Showing any signs of distress?
Cats can stop labor for up to a full day if they feel threatened, unsafe, or uncomfortable. As long as she's not contracting or in distress, just wait it out. Ignore her, let her do her own thing, and let nature take it's course.
If she's contracting, and nothing is happening, or she seems to be in distress, then you'll need to take her and the babies into the vet (not taking taking the babies with her will only cause her more distress).
I hope you have plans to get her fixed after this.
