My friends were in a abandoned house where people still lived and they broke some walls and stuff what could be the charges

Trespass, Breaking and entering, Vandalism, others likely.

Here's a hint, If people still live there... its not abandoned. In fact that would likely make it worse.

If people lived there, then it's not an abandoned house. If you mean they didn't use the place all the time, that doesn't matter one bit when it comes to charges of trespassing, breaking and entering, burglary, and destruction of property. (If anyone was home, robbery and who knows what else.)

Plus having to reimburse the property owners for damages incurred.

Unoccupied or not... its NOT your friends property. Find new friends. Next time YOU might get charged as well... if you weren't with them this time waiting for charges.

Lucky if just probation, up to 7 years in prison. They will have to pay for all damages
