Male in Dispare

I am a Hispanic male and I live at Green Meadows Apartments in Houston. My son was visiting me for the weekend and the manager named Victoria came to my apartment to do an inspection on that Friday that my son was there and on Saturday I received a notice to vacate the premisis in 7 days. When I went to talk to her and asked why she sent this to me and should I have gotten a warning of any kind first, Her response was no I don't have to give you a warning and I can do this if I want to. The management company Tarantino is giving me the run around and I have to move according to the notice. I have never been behind on my rent and I do not bother anyone. Can she do that?

Was the stated reason on the written notice that there was someone living there who isn't on the lease? Is there anything else, such as an extra car parked there, noise, anything? Do you rent a studio, one bedroom? Is the building under HUD or is it benefit housing? Is it 55+ housing? Have any neighbors complained, and has your son been there more often other times?

A notice to vacate is generally followed by a formal eviction process through the courts, and there has to be just cause, which you can argue against. Sometimes those notices are designed to get you to stop something, sometimes they are serious.
