I had a papsmear about 4 weeks ago, I had some bleeding which stopped after a few days, just found out that I am 8 weeks pregnant, which means I was pregnant when I had my papsmear. Is it harmful to the baby should I be worried?

Nah, nothing to worry about.

I can tell you from personal experience, I also had a pap smear done while pregnant. They don't usually do them if they know you are pregnant, just as a precaution (I think). However I never had any problems and out of 4 children I believe 2 of them I had pap smears with. If you are still worried then I would suggest you speak with your Obstetrician about your concerns. I am sure they can help you to understand much more then anyone else could. I do however know that stress is not good for you or the baby, so worrying over this is not such a good thing, try to relax and just talk it over with your Doctor. The fact that you felt the need to post,tells me this is a worry to you no matter how many answers you may receive from this board,therefore go and see your Doctor who will explain everything to you,this will put your mind at rest.
